Raingutter Regatta

Every other year, the Cub Scouts in Pack 61 get a chance to compete in the Raingutter Regatta.

Scouts make a small lightweight sail boat using a kit supplied by the pack, then race their boats against each other. The boats are propelled through the water by blowing on the sail.

The boats move through the water by blowing on the sail.

This is a hands-on activity where scouts can experiment with design, balance, and a little race-day strategy.
