Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 61!                                                                           CUB SCOUT MOTTO:   DO YOUR BEST!

Cub Scout Pack 61 is one of the oldest Packs in the Pacific Skyline Council, with over 78 years of history serving the Belmont/Redwood Shores community. We support boys and girls in the 1st through 5th grade. Most of our Cub Scouts are from Redwood Shores Elementary, Sandpiper Elementary, and Nesbit Elementary. However, we have Cubs who live all throughout San Mateo County and go to a variety of public and private schools. Our Charter is with the American Legion Post 585 in San Carlos.

The goals of the Cub Scout program are to help youth: build character, learn about good citizenship, and develop personal fitness through fun activities. Boys and girls who go through the Scouting program will develop practical life skills that can be used throughout their life. We focus on activities to foster an appreciation for the great outdoors like camping, hiking, fishing, orienteering and develop a great sense of adventure while working in groups and as individuals.

We typically meet as Pack (all families) at Nesbit Elementary's Multi-Purpose Room on the 2nd or 3rd Friday of the month 6:30-8:30pm (though check our calendar as some dates change due to holidays, etc.). Our Dens (grade-specific) typically meet once a month at a location that works best for that Den, usually Nesbit or Sandpiper Elementary. All family members are welcome to attend any meeting. We invite you to an upcoming meeting to learn more about our Pack!

Our Dens:

Tiger - First Graders - Den 2

Wolf - Second Graders - Den 10

Bear - Third Graders - Den 8

Webelos - Fourth Graders - Den 13

Webelos/Arrow of Light - Fifth Graders - Den 7
