Pack 61 is where 1st–5th graders carve their own derby car, pitch a tent with their best friends, and earn a patch for every new skill. No experience needed — just show up and do your best.
A pack built on the neighborhood around it
Most of our scouts come from Redwood Shores, Sandpiper, and Nesbit Elementary, though families join us from all across San Mateo County.
Cub Scout Pack 61 is one of the oldest packs in the Pacific Skyline Council, chartered with American Legion Post 585 in San Carlos. We welcome boys and girls in 1st through 5th grade — no scouting background required, just a willingness to try something new.
Pack meetings bring every family together on the 2nd or 3rd Friday of the month, 6:30–8:30pm, in Nesbit Elementary's Multi-Purpose Room. Dens meet separately once a month, usually at Nesbit, Redwood Shores, or Sandpiper Elementary — wherever works best for that group.
Every family is welcome to sit in on a meeting before joining. The best way to understand Pack 61 is to see one in person.
